HISTORY OF AAU:

AAU began in 1888. Since the beginning it has always had the logo SPORTS FOR ALL, FOREVER.

AAU focus is to give all participants an opportunity to excel in their sport.

 

AAU is the biggest amateur sports organization in the world. There are over 500,000 adults and youth who participate in aau events in America each year. The 2 biggest sports in aau are boys and girls basketball and In-line hockey. 

The 2nd weekend of June the Wisconsin AAU holds their annual meeting. If you are interested in attending you may contact the state aau offices at 715-231-4000 for more information.

Gymnastics meeting held at the State AAU Offices in Menomonie, WI.

Ketih Noll and LeaAnn Bohn (State Gymnastics Chair) at the State AAU Gymnastics Meeting.  LeaAnn began this 8 years ago.  They began with a handful of gymnasts in 1999 and have grown to over 600 registered gymnasts in 2007.  The 8th annual girls District Championships had 420 participants.

Keith Noll and Amber Leininger run the Inline AAU Hockey program.  This office oversees the super regional tournaments and National Hockey events, which totals over 40 events. 

Al Tetzlaff received an award from The Wisconsin AAU for his service of 20 years.  Al was inducted into the Wisconsin AAU Hall of Fame.
