2012 Traveling Teams
for Boys and Girls

FACTS TO KNOW:

  • Boys and Girls AAU Team
  • 2 levels
  • Level 1: 11U-12U-13U-14U
  • Level 2: 15U - Elite 16U - Elite17U
  • Grades 5th - 12th grade
  • Grade determined by 2012-13 academic year

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Practice at UW-FDL Campus Gym
  • We are very organized
  • Structured practices
  • Structured offenses and defenses
  • Cross Training Program
  • Accountability to workout
  • No parent coaches
  • No hidden costs

WHY PLAY FOR HLC's AAU TEAMS:

  • 2 main goals:
  • Goal 1: player development
  • Goal 2: college exposure/ college contacts
  • Statewide and National Exposure Tournaments
  • Rotate starters
  • Play at least half the game
  • Overnight camp included
  • Individual Workout Program
  • Player profiles
  • College exposure/ college contacts

AAU TRAVELING TEAM DETAILS:

  • 6 - 8 tournaments
  • 25 - 35 games
  • 10 practices
  • Rosters mailed 1st week in April
  • Uniform fittings at tryouts
  • Deadline to sign up: 7 days after tryouts
  • 8 players on team:  additional fee $200
  • 9 players on team:  additional fee $100
  • Credit Card: 3% service charge


COACHES:

  • Our coaches played for HLC's AAU teams
  • Our coaches attended HLC's Camp
  • Our coaches have gone on to play college athletics
  • Our coaches have gone on to coach basketball at the high school and college level


THE RECRUITING PROCESS:

  • We have assist almost 250 boys and girls to play college athletics
  • Go to "Where Are They Now" section to see success stories

  • HLC has proven we have a service that assists families

 

TRYOUTS:

  • Attend tryouts to learn more about HLC
  • Cheryl Mohr will meet with parents  and do a presentation called "THE BIG PICTURE"
  • Our goal at tryouts is to educate parents on the process
