2008 Traveling Teams
for Boys and Girls
TRYOUTS
HLC's GOALS FOR 2008
Our main goal is to EDUCATE families about off-season basketball programs and what it takes to be successful in high school and earn an athletic scholarship. During tryouts parents will be in a meeting learning about this process.
THE BIG PICTURE
The parents will meet with Cheryl during tyouts and do a prensentation called "The Big Picture". This meeting will inform parents about what is available and what they need to do to give their son/ daughter the opportunity to reach their next level of play.
HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES
You may tryout during your season. Tryouts are not against the WIAA guidelines. Athletes cannot participate in a competition during their season. Tryouts for a team is not considered a competition. (We talked to the WIAA Office on 12-19-05 to confirm this)
FOND DU LAC LOCATION
- Who: Boys and Girls 5th - 11th grade
- What: Tryout for AAU Basketball Team
- Why: To give girls and boys the opportunity to come and workout with HLC and make a team.
- When: Sunday, March 30, 2008
- Time: 1pm - 5pm
- Where: UW - Fond du Lac Campus
- Cost: $ 25
- Deadline: Traveling Team Practices begin the 3rd weekend in April of 2008
FORMAT: Sunday, March 30, 2008
1:00pm - 1:15pm meeting with players and parents
1:15pm - 2:00pm tryouts for players, parents meeting- Cheryl will do a presentation
called "The Big Picture"
2:00pm - 2:15pm break- HLC staff will meet to review players abilities
and status
2:15pm - 5:00pm tryouts will continue- Cheryl will meet with families to discuss
if their son/ daughter will be given the opportunity to play for HLC
