"In all three years with HLC, I've truly had a great experience. It was awesome to be a part of a team where the most important thing was getting better. I made lots of friends from around the area I would never have had the chance to meet otherwise. My teammates and coaches were able to push me out of my comfort zone, and each time they did, I learned to rise to the challenge. I left HLC with a work ethic that always leaves me raising the bar. I know this will get me far in life and I am forever grateful to all the individuals who cared for me and for the game. Through HLC I was able to become a better player, and the atmosphere constantly reminded me of why I love basketball. I got exposure to college coaches and through summer ball I was recruited to play next year. I've learned what I need to do to become a better athlete, basketball player and person, and I will carry that knowledge with me far into the future." |

"It gave me extremely valuable playing experience against top-notch competition. (It gave me an edge when it came to the high school season!) I met some really great people, I now have many lasting friendships through HLC summer ball, as well as I got to play with player who love the game as much as I do! I was exposed to several different coaching styles, nice to have other coaches besides just a High School coach. I gained college exposure at various tournaments." |

"I came to HLC as I was transitioning from guard to post player with the hope that it would help me gain confidence as a player and help me improve my game so I could play at the varsity level. Not only did I gain confidence in myself, I was the first player of the bench on the varsity team my senior year. I do not believe I would have been able to succeed at the level I was playing this year without HLC> In addition, I gained friendships with people from across the state. this year my team was the Division 2 state champions. The state tournament run was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Winning the state title was unbelievable. I take even more pride in the fact that I wa a valuable member of the team who saw many minutes on the court throughout the season. HLC provided me with the confidence and skills to play at not only the varsity level but the state level. I want to thank Cheryl and HLC for the program that helped me develop both as a person and a basketball player." |

"HLC has helped me become a stronger player both mentally and fundamentally. I have learned to develop the little details of my game and work on improving other major aspects. "HLC helped to develop me into a better player, and it gave me a better understanding of the game. On the court my game improved from constantly playing against a higher level of competition. My fundamental skills were also broken down and taken to the next level, as the idea that you must "catch and shoot" was drilled into my head! While off the court I learned that it takes dedication and hard work to reach your goals. One of the best things that HLC did for me was increase my confidence in myself, and teach me what I need to do to be successful. " |

"I met a lot of new people and that helped me to be more comfortable when I was meeting new people or having to talk in front of people. It helped me on the court because I played with a variety of players and I took all I learned during the summer and brought it back to my high school season. " |

"HLC as a total confidence builder. It not only helped me develop new skills but really made me trust myself and my talents. HLC helped me take a lot back to my team, and allowed me to play with many amazing athletes. These athletes became my friends as the season progressed and we bonded. HLC gave me so many opportunities, great memories and helped me to the next level of basketball."

"Playing with Higher Level Camps has been an awesome experience. I have learned to be self-disciplined, work hard, and most of all to be a leader. I carried these skills off the court and into the classroom where they have helped me be successful.
Over the past 5 years, I had the opportunity to meet many new people and play with girls with tremendous talent. The talent that surrounded me molded me into the player that I have become. Without them pushing me, I would have never made it to the next level.
I come out of Higher Level Camps believing that if the mind can conceive it and the hart can believe it, the body can achieve it!" |

"Playing in the HLC program was more rewarding that I could have ever imagined. The game experience was un-measurable, and was beyond compare to any individual workouts I had done prior. Being a part of the program was a fantastic experience in which I took away much more than basketball skills but as well as work ethic, dedication, and valuable friendships. I would recommend it to anyone who is serious about raising their caliber of play not as an individual but as a team member." |

"The experiences I shared with HLC this year are almost indescribable. Out ream not only meshed on the court but off also. We all developed life long friendships like no other team I've ever played on. I'm sure I will remember some of the teams we played, some of the experiences on the court, but more than anything, I will remember the team members. We bonded like no other team I know... athletes and parents, kids and coaches. Every single one of those people became a small part of me. They were my summer." |

"This summer was one of those things you will never forget. The friendships that were made and also the memories that occurred during that time will not be easily replaced or forgotten. We started off the summer not playing very well, which Cheryl of course let us know. Throughout the summer however, we learned to play together on the court and most of our chemistry on the court was due to the friendships that were forming off the court. Throughout my years playing basketball, there were always a few people on the teams that did not get along, yet on this team there was no evidence of that. We continued to become better friends as the summer wore on and that fact was also shown by our team play on the court. Some of the more memorable tournaments were Notre Dame and the Junior Olympics. The Junior Olympic memories are something that I will carry with me throughout my playing years. We were able to compete with some of the best players in in the country and show that we belonged in that group of teams. The time off the court was as memorable as the time on the court. The summer came to a close but the friendships that I made and also the experiences that I had will not be forgotten. " |

"When I started taking lessons from Cheryl in 7th grade at the YMCA I was clumsy & uncoordinated. Cheryl and the HLC program has made me an emotionally stronger person and a stronger basketball player.
"HLC has also given me so many great friends. for three summers now, six of us have stayed together to form the original 15 and under #1 Team. Not only have we gotten along on the court and learned more about basketball from each other, but we also hang out together outside of tournaments and practice. I will always take with me throughout my life, the memories and pictures I have... especially the late night TPing and sleep-overs.
"I can't begin to think of all I have learned from the coaches I have had in HLC. Each one has taught me more about this sport that I love playing. All the tournaments, traveling and staying in motels has brought me closer to my mother. We have become the best of friends and I can talk to her about anything. Thank you HLC." |

"This one's from the heart. We just left a tournament in Plymouth, and I realize many things about your program. After all, I was there when your dream started to take shape. And it's been fun to watch it grow. You have done exactly what you wanted to do and set out to do. You have given area girls a chance to play basketball in the off-season at a higher level. And yes, most of the girls are the one's you talked originally about helping through these experiences-- the "blue chippers" who need the challenges your program offers. I sometimes think to myself, "Cheryl's Dream Teams". And I love it! And it makes me happy that you and all these young ladies have realized a dream.
I also know something else. Once in a while a girl will be involved in your program who is not a "blue chipper" and who will never be. Once in a while there will be a girl who desperately needs your program in order to see her own potential and to challenge her to become her best, at whatever level that is. That girl will perhaps be the one who gains the most from your program. And I also know that deep down in your heart, Cheryl Mohr, you want to help that girl as much as the one who will proudly accept the D I scholarship.
And I also know something else. That girl is my daughter, Eryn. She has been quiet most of the time. She doesn't quite know how to say thank you or sing your praises. She doesn't quite know how to make herself shine for you. She just quietly remembers the words you said to her back in the early 90's out of sincerity and love. I also heard them. "We will be together until you leave high school."
She was so proud of the award she received at camp. Do you know what she said to me? "Mom, Cheryl must really have thought I did a good job! I really hope I did! Her camp is so awesome."
So Cheryl, through it all you have allowed those at every level to participate in your program. Thank-you for following your dream and letting me be a part of it." With Love,

"HLC has benefited me in many ways. It has not only increased my basketball skills, I have also gained friendships that will last forever. While we were at those tournaments playing in front of college coaches, we were having fun. You would think with all those coaches there, we would get nervous -- not with our team. We just went out there and played, we left it all on the floor. "Sometimes I didn't even realize that I was getting better and preparing myself for college.
